Kazimir Malevich

Kazimir Malevich was a key figure of the Russian and Soviet avant-garde and, as the inventor of Suprematist painting, one of the most influential artists of the twentieth century. He reappeared fifty years after his death with The Last Futurist Exhibition, a show that opened in 1985 in a Belgrade apartment. The following year, the same exhibition took place in the Galerija Škuc, Ljubljana (Slovenia), and Art in America published A Letter from Kazimir Malevich (September 1986).
