Museum of Antiquities
The Museum of Antiquities was established in 2008 with works from the collection of Antiquities assembled by Pope Julius II and put on public display in 1502 in the Belvedere Garden of the Vatican. While this collection, directly or indirectly, shaped the concept of art and art institutions of the Western World for the next five centuries, this recently established Museum of Antiquities is trying to keep its memory and its story alive.
